This elegant single malt is matured in premium Australian Port casks, bringing a rich complexity and a deep rose-gold hue to our signature coastal spirit. Australian Port casks help to impart layers of rum soaked dried fruit, black cherry sweetness, and subtle fruitcake spice—characteristics that beautifully complement the soft and sweet malt profile of Spring Bay’s whisky.

Crafted using the finest Tasmanian barley, pure coastal rainwater, and a patient aging process, this release balances malt sweetness, warm spice and dried fruit with an oak undertone.

Tasting Notes:

Single Port Cask No. 448


Colour: Light copper with a warm rose-gold shimmer — a nod to its time resting in Australian Port seasoned oak.

Nose: Inviting and layered. Toasted oak opens first, followed by a gentle lift of warm sweet spice that draws you in.

Palate: Rich and generous. Rum-soaked dried fruit leads the way, giving way to spiced fruit cake and brown sugar sweetness. Toasted oak sits quietly in the background, adding depth without overpowering the malt's natural softness.

Finish: Long, warming and satisfying — the kind of finish that lingers well past the last sip.
