Handcrafted by the sea on the East Coast of Tasmania, the Rheban Series is our cask strength Single Malt Whisky aged in Tawny and Port barrels. This whisky is rich, decadent and complex, in a harmonious balance of fruit, spirit and oak with a hint of leather. Named after a favourite neighbouring beach in Spring Bay, the Rheban is produced using only the finest ingredietns including premoum Tasnanian barkley and locally sourced rainwater that is both soft and sweet. Our barrels are exposed to sea mist from Spring Bay, making our whisky truly unique and distinctly Tasmanian.
Colour: Rose Gold
Nose: Sweet and complex aromas suggest butterscotch and Christmas muscatels.
Palate: Sweet caramel syrup and plum pudding spices join a clean, bright alcohol explosion which spreads across the palate to settle in and glow with some soft oaky and tobacco leaf tannins.
Finish: Hints of cherry cordial and some nutty undertones that clearly displays the quality of both the spirit and the wood in developing harmony.
